In General Developing one sense of passion for their self, ar Entry Tools Rate This Entry

Hi guys, justin here. How many of you wish that your technique was better. These are questions that are asked of me all of the time, and you know what. You will probably never think you are doing your technique right. First you should take a step back and ask your self if what you are doing feels right to you. I always ask myself if i am moving too much or breathing to much or little. I think it is something you just have to do. Say to your self, today i will do exelent techinque, get it in your mind. Dont worry about your suroundings. I remember when i was fist starting to fall, I constantly felt i was doing it wrong wich then tranfered over to my technique. So then i was getting confused as to what it is i was doing there. But a real good feind of ine told me, "you are as good as you want to be, not as i want you to be." If any of you are struggling with your technique i offer two peices of advice:
start reading aikido the dynamic sphere and get this new program out for your pc called Aikido 3D. It truly is a wonderfull program and i am confident that any one who uses it will have better technique.
As always, be true to your self and the art you have choosen.
Thanks for your time.

In General wright and wrong attitudes for martail arts Entry Tools Rate This Entry

Hi every one it's me again. I just wantted to talk today about the importance of attitudes in martail arts. There is a very fine line between confidence and cockyness. Remember, it does not matter if everyone knows your abilities, just as long as you know your self. what i say will not make you better nor will the color of your belt. Only you can advance your self. Have you ever heard the expresion " I can not make you do it, I can only give you tools to do it" ( Quote from General Choi, the founder of Taekwando). People generaly strive only to learn the actions of the art and leave the spiritual aspec behind, and you cant do that. You are only learning the half of the art its self. So please, if you are going to take the time to learn the actions of the art, spend some time learning about the history and culture.
Thanks again for your time and have a good new year.

In General Dont forget your roots Entry Tools Rate This Entry

I want to make something very clear to all you beginners. You must NEVER forget the origins of the art that you are in. Like Aikido, in my personal opinion, Dont put your all into just certain asspecs of your art. If you want to be a master inAikido you must have at least a minimal understanding of Sword. And a dominant understanding of the culture sorounding aikido. What it was derived from, and things like what did ohsensei stand for. Please don't just learn how to fight and defend your self because you are only learning half of the art. I hope you all have a realy good new year.
Thanks for your time
