Went in to practice test materials. Rick and I ran through the complete test one time. I need to remember that the standing pin goes with Sankyo Ura. We decided to do one direct entry and one blended irimi nage from tsuki. It went pretty well all things considered. Daniel joined us after we had been through the test once. Worked with him on a variety of techniques. He bowed out, I worked with one of my sempies on sankyo, and I ended up giving the instructions on how it was all working. I could see some oof it getting more cememted in my sempies mind. It was a good experience, and I think that both of us learned and enjoyed it. Rick and I did some Jui Waza for the last five minutes of the class. It was a good but mostly kote gaeshi came out when we were jui waza (ing). Some of them were quite nice, but I would like it if there was something else in my aikido vocabulary came out.
I am nervous about the test. I know the basics of the moves, ie what goes where when and don't do too bad if I can stay in the moment and not get distracted too much on test day.
Lots of extra training lately really has me physically tired. This feels good though, I just wish I were loosing more fat around the middle!
Rick is such and awesome Uke! We have gotten to know each others bodies so well doing the test thing three times together. He makes me look like superman sometimes. It impresses even me! Ken and Jan may come to the dojo for the test on Saturday, that would be special.
