I'm typing this with stiff shoulders after yesterdays (Sundays) quite intense bokken practice.
(In my head the voice of our associations weapons teacher - is chastising me like jiminy cricket - i'f your shoulders hurt you're doing it wrong')
But anyway, that was a nice end to our Sunday classes, until the New Year.
And we finish at Aso Ryu on Wednesday.
My Osame Geiko (last class of the year) will be on the 28th, which i'm looking forward to.
So far i've asked Santa for an Aikido Dvd, book and new Gi, so hopefully i'm on his 'nice' list.

Saturday (18th) was our Christmas Party, which we all really enjoyed - and i was awarded a certificate, for 'most serious student'
Best Wishes to all.

Congratulations on your Ni Dan and your 'Most Serious Student' award, I did have a small say in this, but not my idea, I would have given you 'Deepest Student Award'. Many thanks to you and Dave during 2010, congratulations to Dave for his San Dan. Well done to both of you and again thanks for all your support and help during 2010. Best as always, Billy. The u & i are next to each other and I always type Bully, is there something in this?

Congratulations for the most serious student. I hope you will get the DVD, book and Gi. In the bokken practice just relax, I the felt the same in the first classes, but in the last Kenjutsu class from our teacher, the first thing he said relax, take the bokken very soft just as you are thwowing the fishing rod, we practiced in the morning 2 hours and 2 in the afternoon and shoulders and arms were just the same as in the morning.
