Status: Pretty worn out, wrists and knees ache, but ecstatic after today's and yesterday's training.
Tuesday was beginners training, and as always I benefitted a lot from it. For the first time I was actually the instructors preferred uke, and it felt really good.
My flow was better, my ukemi better and the instructor even complemented me on the way I keep an eye on nage when being his uke. I really felt confident that day, and everything seemed to work better than usually. We mostly did variations of Ikkyo and some Kotegaishi
We also had a first timer there for a trial session, and I got to show her techniques for the last 45 minutes.
All in all, I felt like I had a very good session.
Today, wednesday.
Today there was mixed training with an instructor that is well know for his tempo and energetic classes. I'm always drenched with sweat when training with him, but they are always interesting, and we usually do more advanced techniques than I am used to.
As I'm still a rookie, I can't remember the correct terms, but as far as I remember we did some Koshi nage and various other throws. Both with and without bokken.
We actually only did one technique with a lock, the rest was throws and when your ukemi is as flawed as mine, you can really feel it.
But still, it was a good session and I really enjoyed it.
Now I just have to wait for Monday when I can train again
