In General Standing on the floating bridge. Entry Tools Rate This Entry
  #16 New 01-01-2012 09:25 PM
I stand in the center, facing my foes,
I stand at the gateless gate, where heaven and earth flows;
I stand in the center, sounds of the mountain echo cease,
Only heavenly love and earthly peace.

They look for an opening but none can appear,
For I'm already open and all remains clear;
Motion in stillness without and within,
No self protection just pure welcoming.

They seek to attack, plans and strategies, depending,
They know their plans and they know their desired ending;
But they can't seem to find me, for I'm winning without winning,
I'm center, not the middle or end, but the infinite beginning.

LinTal Says:
Beautiful and powerful contrasts. Particularly in the second stanza how openness is the perfect defense. This poem has moved me the most so far, thank you for sharing.
