Oberlin Aikido Club will be hosting our annual Fall Seminar with Raso Hultgren sensei from Missoula Aikikai. The seminar will be held October 10-12, 2014, in the Oberlin College Hales Gym, 180 West Lorain Street, Oberlin, OH 44074-1016. The classes are scheduled as follows: Friday, October 10 at 7-9 p.m., Saturday, October 11 at 10-12 p.m. and 3-5 p.m., Sunday, October 12 at 10-1 p.m. The cost of the seminar is $110 for all three days, or $35 per class. Seminar: Robert Savoca Sensei near Madison, WI - October 18-19

Robert Savoca Sensei, 6th dan and Chief Instructor of Brooklyn Aikikai, will lead Aikido training at this event in Reedsburg, WI (about 50 miles NW of Madison). The venue is Korinji, a Zen monastery. Training will be conducted in a retreat setting and (if weather permits) largely outdoors. Zen meditation practice is included, with instruction given for those needing it by the Korinji abbot. For our Fall 2014 seminar, Aikido of Panama City is hosting Nobu Arakawa Sensei of Nobu Aikido Dojo, located in Tampa, FL. Arakawa Sensei has trained in Aikido for more than 40 years and was a long time member of the United States Aikido Federation before becoming independent in 2013. He has trained in the United States with Yamada Shihan and at Aikido Hombu Dojo Japan with Arikawa Sensei and Yamaguchi Sensei. In 1998 he moved to Tampa and founded Hyde Park Aikikai; in 2013, Sensei founded Nobu Aikido Dojo where he now teaches. In addition, he has taught at the University of South Florida–Lakeland and conducted seminar throughout Florida.
