At Ki Aikido Dojo Rodgau, Germany, the Uchi Deshi Program has been active since February 2015. There are currently 2 uchi deshi living and training at the dojo. Since the living area has been expanded recently, we can accept 2 more uchi deshi beginning in January 2018. Please see our website for a detailed program description...

Hong Kong Aikido Kan is pleased to present Michael Leung Sensei,6th Dan Aikikai, 50 Years in Aikido Anniversary Workshop to be held on Sunday, 12th November 2017 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Function Room 1, 2/F Queen Elizabeth Stadium, 18 Oi Kwan Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong. The Workshop will be a celebration of Michael Leung Sensei's 50 years'dedication to the development of Aikido in Hong Kong. Michael Leung Sensei is the direct student of Kenneth Cottier Shihan, 7th Dan Aikikai, and was the former chairman of the Hong Kong Aikido Association. He founded Hong Kong Aikido Kan in 2006 as a full time Dojo dedicated to the promotion of Aikido in Hong Kong. Michael Leung Sensei's lifelong philosophy is to "Realize Aikido", applying the philosophy and principles of Aikido in one's business career and daily life. He will share and reflect on his 50 years' studies and experience in Aikido at the Workshop which will include instructions and an Embu. All Aikikai members are welcome to join and the Workshop will be free to all Aikikai members subject to acceptance of application. Aikikai members joining the Workshop must bring their jo, bokken and slippers to the Dojo. All participants are responsible for their conduct and safety for others in training. Hong Kong Aikido Kan will not accept any liability or any claim on injury and loss of property on attendance. Please apply for attendance before Wednesday, 8th November 2017 and arrive the Dojo for registration by 2:00 pm. Hong Kong Aikido Kan reserves the right of refusal to any application. Hironobu Yamada Shihan 8th Dan Aikikai passes away

With great regrets, Hong Kong Aikido Kan reports on the passing of Hironobu Yamada Shihan, 8th Dan, Aikikai, on 15th October, 2017. Yamada Shihan was the Founder of Hokuso Aikikai and Hokuso Aikikai Holland, and Technical Director of Hong Kong Aikido Kan. He was also a distinguished Shihan of the traditional martial art of Katori Shinto Ryu.
Yamada Shihan began his Aikido career in 1963 at the Jiyugaoka Dojo under Hiroshi Tada Shihan, 9th Dan Aikikai, and has studied under Tada Shihan for over 50 years. Yamada Shihan established his first Dojo, the "JAL Aikido Club" (Japan Airlines Aikido Club) at Narita Airport in 1976. He founded the Hokuso Aikikai un 1983 and was also Shihan of the Yachimata Aikido Association.
Yamada Shihan dedicated his life to the growth of Aikido both in Japan and internationally. Yamada Shihan taught extensively in Asia and was the Technical Director of Hong Kong Aikido Kan. In Europe, Hokuso Aikido Holland is an affiliate of Hokuso Aikikai and Yamada Shihan trained thousands of Aikido practitioners with the Russia Aikikai. He had close ties with Dojos in China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Peru and other countries.
Our deepest condolence to his family, loved ones, friends and students.

Shudokan School of Aikido invites all affiliations of Aikidoka to enjoy training with under a wonderful teacher from Tokyo,Japan. Yokoyama Sensei trained exclusively under Hiroshi Kato, 8th dan for two decades. He is a young man who has internalized the teachings of Hiroshi Kato along with his own understanding of this art through his own training and pursuit of this art. Our Seminar will be from October 20-22, 2017 and will be held at the Samurai Martial Arts dojo at 17111 Kieth Harrow, Houston, Texas 77084. Nashville Aikikai will be hosting a seminar with Tres Hofmeister Sensei on October 6-8, 2017. The seminar will be held at the Nashville Aikikai dojo at 1701B Fatherland St, Nashville, TN. If you are traveling from out of town, please be aware that I-24 will be closed from the I-40 split to the I-65 split starting at 8 PM Friday night, so you will need to give yourself a little extra travel time.
